Coat of Arms Sampler SAL

Yes, I love Stitch-A-Longs!  This one is with the Wiehenburg yahoo group.  Part 1 is completed and my OTT light burnt out right on the last stitch...

I'm using HDF in Old Maid of the Aubergine on fabric from my stash, most probably Wood Violet Jobelan over one.

SAL part 3 completed

This is a SAL I'm doing from Maryse Dupont in France.  As you can see, I'm a little behind!  It's really pretty and a joy to stitch.

Berlinwork Sampler SAL part 2 done

This is another SAL I'm doing with the German Sticklounge group.  Part 2 is now done!

SAL part 2 done

I've finished up part 2 of Istitch's SAL.  Carol has asked us to lower the resolution on the pics because some are attempting to steal the design from pictures.  She has such lovely designs and I would not like to see her business hurt or her to become discouraged.
I am thinking of making this into a mattress pincushion with aged plum rickrack on the sides.

Another SAL

This is a new SAL I'm doing from Carol (Istitch) in Kent, England. I'm using WDW Stone on Legacy Parchment linen over 1.  It's always fun to stitch a project with others and interesting to see what colors/fabrics everyone picks.  Carol is so talented...I can't wait to see how this will work out!

Happy Dance!!!

Today I finished a project that I've been stitching on with the German yahoo group Sticklounge. It's called Sommerherz (Summer Heart for the English-speaking types) It was a fun stitch! I used R&R's linen in Glen Ellyn Blend with DMC 723 and 3834.

notes from my garden:  some varmint has eaten the leaves off the collards and the cucumbers and has started on my peas.  I must save for a fence and possibly a shotgun!  or perhaps an attack goose which is more my style.

Stitching sooths the soul

I never seem to tire of starting new projects.  It keeps life exciting!  Here are two that I've been stitching on the last couple of weeks.

First up is Moulin Rouge by Long Dog.  I'm doing it in HDF Aster on Legacy Linen Devonshire Cream.  I nicked that combo from Siobhan in Ireland.

Next is Fair Philomel by Shepherds Bush.

The weather has been rain rain and more rain here.  I would like to get a large garden in so it had better stop soon!

Stitchalong with Sticklounge

Here is part 1 and 2 of the Logo stitchalong I'm doing with the German yahoo group Sticklounge.  I'm using Nina's threads in Hackberry on a linen from my stash.  Naturally I didn't label it so I don't know the color name.

This is actually going to be a large circular design.

First New Start for 2011 and first UFO worked on!

Hello Dear Readers!
Here's the first new project of the year for me...it's Mary Poppins and I'm stitching it with the German Yahoo Group Sticklounge.

The rain has washed all the snow away and the roads are clear.
That was nice because I went with my Dad to take my Uncle Dick to the airport this morning to fly back to Puerto Rico where he lives part of the year.  I'll really miss him a lot but I get to see him again in May.   I see on the weather report that the temperature was 79 there today.  I am a little jealous. I miss the briny smell of the sea!

Blogger is only letting me upload 1 picture at the moment so I'll tell you about my first up UFO in the next post.

Until then,
Cari

I'm about 1/2 done with the first part.
